Earthquake proof house
Although the design of the house was produced in Australia it was intended as research for other countries that suffered from earthquakes unlike Australia.
In 2000 scientist built a house and then hit it with a man made earth quake and blasts of air like a cyclone .They carefully watched and measured the effects their results suggested new ways of building houses . For example using more nails at some points ,placing Frame work differently and building frames that move a little instead of snapping. The CSIRO’s research will help people around the world to create safer homes that survive natural disasters
