The first roll-a-door was made in 1956 by the Australian company B&D australia. it saved space, did not rust or jam, and could be operated by anyone, even a child . the company also invented the tilt-a-door, and produced electrically opened doors, operated from inside a car with control like a TV remote, by 2002, B&D Australia had sold 2.5 million garage doors in Australia, and five million doors worldwide.
